Natural Living at The Preserve

The Preserve at Tidewater is known for many things. It’s a community of close-knit neighborhoods, an opportunity to invest in your future, and a comfortable place to kick back, relax, and make yourself at home.

Part of the charm of The Preserve is, of course, it’s proximity to and respect for the natural world. This is evident The Preserve’s master plan, which will thoughtfully integrate amenities that encourage both passive and active interaction with the existing natural features.

Below are some of the natural flourishes we’re more excited to build, cultivate, and share with you. Explore, experience, and adventure—you’ll find it all at The Preserve!

Nature Trails

Paths that wind throughout The Preserve will take you from streets and sidewalks to woods and water. Explore your new home, dedicate some time to easy and pleasant exercise, and experience the joy of fresh air and sunshine on your daily walks. A great way to start a new family tradition that will keep you healthy and put your mind at ease!

Bike Paths

If walking isn’t enough, you can also take your bicycle on The Preserve’s paths. These paths are an easy way to enjoy a Sunday morning bike ride, and are a great option for seasoned cyclists as well as brand new tricycles. Go for a spin observing maritime forests and beautiful marshes and then come home to coffee and breakfast on your porch to enjoy your slice of The Preserve. It’s a great way to start the day!

Inlet Access

No need to jockey for a spot at a crowded marina! At The Preserve, our private access point is an ideal place to launch your kayak, canoe, or standup paddleboards. Because our community is located in the heart of the marshes along the bay, access is easy and right at your fingertips. This makes it simpler than ever to take full advantage of our unique coastal lifestyle!

Fishing Docks

Grab your pole and some bait and head for the marsh, the island and the man-made waterways! This a great spot to catch your dinner, sink your crab pots, or watch for wildlife. And, thanks to the small community that is The Preserve, you’re bound to run into a neighbor or two with the same bright idea. Conversation and good, old-fashioned fishing—it doesn’t get much better than that!

Wildlife

The Preserve at Tidewater is designed to complement the natural world, not crush it. Because of this, the flora and fauna that currently live on the site will be treated with the utmost respect and care. Our goal is to create a community that lives in harmony with the natural world, which includes egrets, cranes, drum fish, and other coastal creatures.

We hope that this list has you as excited about The Preserve at Tidewater as we are. To stay up-to-date on our latest developments, make sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. See you soon!
